Frequently asked questions

How will my order be shipped?

Wherever you are in the world, I love to make your day extra special!
All orders are mailed flat in Woodland Papercuts' signature packaging.

+ Papercuts are sent Courier Express which delivers to your door in a matter of days.
+ Samples are sent Standard Airmail, which delives in 1-3 weeks.

Please note time estimates do not account for any delays that can arise from Customs, weather, global crisis, etc.

My order is delayed / arrived damaged, what can you do?

Unfortunately I do not control the post service, and I cannot assume responsibility for lost or damaged mail.

However, I do my best to guarantee the service you paid for is provided and your package gets to you. If damaged, I will work with you to file a claim for reimbursement from the courier. When applicable, we'll negotiate a replacement order.

Can I get my order rushed?

Certainly! Rush orders are subject to my schedule, just contact me first to check. The rush fee starts at $75 and can reach $200, depending on the design and deadline.

Can I cancel / exchange / return my order?

Due to the bespoke nature of my papercuts, they cannot be exchanged or returned once delivered.

Once your order leaves the studio, payment cannot be refunded / credited. However, you are welcome to cancel your papercut order within 24 hours of payment for a full refund.

Should you wait longer the refund amount will be to my discretion according to how far along your order is in the production queue.

Rush and Design fees are non-refundable.

If there is any issue with your order, please contact me and I'll offer a solution within the studio's policy guidelines.

What pen do I use to sign my ketubah?

The ketubot are printed and cut from artist-quality paper, so they suit all inks. Every ketubah comes with a mini test card for you to practice your signatures and test out pens!

How can I display my ketubah at my wedding?

Using Woodland Papercuts signature packaging, of course!

The sturdy flat wood boards make it easy to transport your ketubah to the wedding venue, and bonus! they can be used for presentation at the signing ceremony!

For the chuppah and reception I advise that you place your papercut ketubah in a simple ready-made frame in order to protect it from curious hands and the elements.

Can you send my ketubah framed?

Unfortunately at this time I do not provide framing services.

What about text again?

Each ketubah includes the text of your choice personalized with your names, wedding date and location.

I offer templates for the following ceremonies: Orthodox, Conservative, Egalitarian, Reform, Same Sex, Humanist, Secular, Quaker, Christian. They can be edited as you wish. Alternatively, you're welcome to provide your own!

Please contact me for the access link to the text & font options.

Following payment and conditional upon receipt of your text choice - you'll receive a preview file to proofread. I print your text only after you approve!

PLEASE BE AWARE clients are fully responsible for finding and reporting any errors before approving the text for printing. WOODLAND PAPERCUTS is not responsible for replacing approved texts.

When should I order my Ketubah?

The ketubah is one of the most important aspects of your wedding and will be a keepsake that will grace your home for generations - so it should not be left for the last to-do list if you can help it.

I always recommend that you order your ketubah as soon as you are ready (even a year in advance works!) and at the latest *3 months* ahead of your wedding.

Of course I can accommodate orders with only weeks to spare if needed and I have a stock of ready-to-ship handmade ketubahs!

What is a ketubah?

A ketubah is a written marriage pledge. Your wedding vows anchored in artwork. It is comprised out of two integral elements: The central and most important one is THE TEXT. The Second is THE DESIGN.

Traditionally, ketubot were made to be folded and kept safe in a vault, but I don't make that kind. Instead, I create exquisite artworks to be cherished & displayed. Which is why you're here as well! Together, we'll create a memory of your wedding for generations to come.
